Song Haibo: Current situation and thinking of key raw materials for in vitro diagnosis in China
In recent years, China's IVD industry has grown rapidly at an annual growth rate of more than 15%. In 2018, China's market capacity of in vitro diagnostic products has reached 70 billion yuan, becoming the fastest growing segment of the entire medical device industry. However, according to the national per capita calculation, the annual expenditure of in vitro diagnosis per capita in China is only about US $5, far below the average level of US $25-30 in developed countries, and is still in the development stage of the industry life cycle. With the increasing attention to the health cause, the intensification of the aging process of the population, and the support of the relevant national policies for the medical industry, the construction of a healthy China continues to advance. It is expected that in the next five years or even longer, China's IVD industry will still be in a golden period of rapid development.
